Bangladesh Police will recruit about 10,000 constables for the Trainee Recruit Police Constable Job Circular Constable (TRC) post in the upcoming month. The new constable recruitment notice has published on 26th February 2026. According to police headquarters sources, some changes may be made in the educational and physical qualifications for applying for the post of police constable this time. For the last few years, the educational qualification criteria for applying for the post of constable was to pass the SSC or equivalent examination with a minimum GPA of 2.5

However, this time the eligibility criteria for the application may be slightly increased to a minimum HSC. However, the matter has not been finalized yet. In addition, there may be some changes in height and chest size in the case of recruitment. So far the height for men to be constables was at least 5 feet 6 inches and for women 5 feet 2 inches. This time in the recruitment Notice, the height standard of women may be 5 feet 4 inches. Applicants must be between 18 and 20 years of age.

Once some of the issues are finalized, the recruitment Notice has published on 26th February 2026. The concerned people said that the circular process was supposed to start by the end of 31st March 2026. However, it was delayed due to the prevalence of corona and some criteria regarding eligibility. The recruitment process will begin in February and continue for about two months.
