In all cases, applications must be made through SMS and online. A total of 300/- Taka (200/- for entrance examination fee and 100/- for online registration fee) will be deducted for each application.

The professions of Trade-2 (Specialist Profession) are Cook (Mess), Cook (Unit), Cook (Hospital), Bandsman, Painter, Painter and Decorator, Carpenter and Tinsmith.

Sainik Recruitment 2026 Qualification

• Educational Qualification: Passed SSC/equivalent examination with at least GPA-2.50. Candidates with GPA-3.00 and above have the opportunity to transfer to Trade-1 based on their qualifications .
• Age Limit: Not less than 17 years and not more than 22 years as on 01 February 2027 (Affidavit not acceptable) .
• Job Qualifications:
  (1) Candidates interested in joining the Cook profession should be proficient in cooking.
  (2) Candidates who are proficient in various musical instruments (drums, brass band clarinet, bagpipes, trumpets, etc.) will be given preference for the Bandsman profession.
  (3) Interested in joining the Painter/Painter and Decorator profession should be proficient in painting work.
  (4) Candidates interested in joining the Carpenter profession should be proficient in woodworking.
  (5) Candidates interested in joining the Tin Smith profession should be proficient in welding work.
• Health Test: Eligible for health test (including HBsAg and dope test).
• Swimming: Swimming is essential (minimum 35 meters).
• Marital status: Single (If any incorrect or false information regarding married/widowed/divorced is provided, legal action will be taken).
• Nationality: Bangladeshi citizen.

Physical fitness criteria required for admission to the military

Selection process:

Eligible candidates will be selected through health check, physical test (running, push-ups, sit-ups, BIM (BIM is not applicable for female candidates), written test (Bangla, English, Mathematics, General Knowledge and Intelligence) and interview. Candidates will have to participate in practical test related to the relevant trade.

The following persons will not be considered eligible to apply:

A. Dismissed from the Armed Forces and Government Service.
B. Dismissed/Voluntarily discharged from military training institutions.
C. Convicted/sentenced in a criminal case.
D. Dual citizen.

Training:

As per the decision of the Army Chief, 36 (thirty-six) weeks of basic military training must be undertaken.
